PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The main aim of this project is to include youth in active recognition of environmental problems and through cultural events raise awareness and induct the principles of problem solving about climate change to the local community. An important goal of the project is also review and critical appraisal of cultural heritage, and in accordance with it, adress today's chalenges. The main activities that will undertake is creation of a two theater performances, on of them would be connected with Slovenian cultural heritage and the other on the subject of environmental /climate change. The activity will also include a number of other activities in support of environment, cultural heritage, active youth participation and informing.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The host organisation will find adequate accommodation for the volunteer. The volunteer will be staying in an apartment in the city center of Brežice, shared with another EVS volunteer but with enough privacy. She/he will have access to a fully furnished apartment. A monthly food allowance will be provided together with pocket money. Accommodation rent and accommodation costs will be covered by Hosting organization.
TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
The volunteer will take part in all aspects of the EVS training cycle, consisting of the following: pre-departure training, on-arrival training, mid-term meeting and final evaluation.The volunteer will attend the on-arrival training organised by the National Agency or the host organisation as well as nationally organised mid-term meetings.The volunteer will be given any training necessary for them to carry out their tasks. The volunteer will receive a language training course, it will be arranged by the host organisation and will be implemented through individual lessons 2-3 times per week.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
We’re looking for volunteers that are interested in working with youth in the field of environment protection, through all kind of art, specially theatre, multimedia, to work with youngster, to empower young people for active participation and are eager to learn new experiences. We would like to host volunteers who have their own ideas to develop our project, who may have a specialized interest in arts, multimedia, cultural heritage, environment protection, … and are fluent in English.
