PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project is suitable for a person who is interested in a grassroot political activism and at the same time in the world of the project management specifically related to local and international volunteering, active citizenship, social inclusion, non formal educational for youngsters and adults. A person who would like to improve professional skills in the management of groups and social projects, who is flexible and can adapt easily to different contexts. The volunteers will support planning, coordination and implementation of the following activities, mainly at “La Città dell'Utopia”: weekly events, monthly farmers market, popular daily courses, festivals, residential international youth exchanges, workcamps, training and seminars. Tasks will be mainly related with activities, workshops and event creation, communication (website, social networks, newsletter), logistics (equip the spaces, shopping, cleanings, cooking), running a sharing skill course, volunteer group coordination

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Accomodation is in an indipendent flat in La Città dell’Utopia, with 3 double shared room (up to six international volunteers) kitchen, living room, bathroom. The accomodation has all the basic needed facilities (included wifi and washing machine). The building is historical, so the accomodation is basic and without centralized heatings or aircon, so it could be humid, cold in the winter and perfectly fresh in the summer. The building is sorrounded by a very beautiful garden (which means mosquitos in the summer). It is in a student area and close to the metro.

TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
- Volunteers will learn how a project with a strong interaction between local and international dimension works; - Volunteers will have the opportunities to take part trainings and seminars of project cycle management, global citizenship, migration, group coordination and social inclusion; - They will participate in the training organized by NA within the project framework; - At the beginning of the project specific expected learning outcomes will be defined in compliance with the project objectives, the context, and the volunteers need. The staff of SCI Italy will follow them in each step.

VOLUNTEER PROFILE
Requirements: - good command of English; - being able to work in a team and with several target - good communication skills and motivation to cooperate with colleagues and La Città dell’Utopia activists; - motivated to learn and share knowledge and skills; - good computer skills (Ubuntu or Microsoft Office, email, internet, graphic software); - previous experience in communication with social networks; - have a responsible attitude and to be be proactive and take initiative; - have organizational skills; - a good command of Italian is preferable - wordpress basics is preferable
