PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Work in a youth center, mainly with children from 6 to 17 years: - non-formal education (school supporting activities, languages courses...etc.) - workshops about creativity (games, crafting, painting...) - different activities outside of the center (excursions, cultural visits...) - administrative work - special events (vacation, fête de quartier..)
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The volunteer will live in a shared house with four other european volunteers. The house is situated in a suburb of Paris, in front of a train station, 20 minutes from the Paris center. Each volunteer has his own room and the house is equipped with a kitchen, two toilets and two bathrooms aswell as a saloon and a garden with barbecue. Moreover there is provided WIFI, a TV, a washing machine, dishwasher, bikes and a basement. The volunteer will receive 497€ for food, pocket money and the transport card (75€). The travel costs will be paid too.
TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
The volunteer is going to participate in an arrival and mid-term seminar organized by the french Erasmus+ Agency.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
The volunteer has to be open and engaged. He needs to be interested in european topics and has his own ideas to integrate in the project. The volunteer has to be social and helpful with childrens and teenagers. The volunteer know what mean “to be a volunteer” and to be in the exchange during this experience (language, knowledge, time, …). A basic level of french would be advantageous.
