Requirements for Freshmen
- International student that holds a valid visa
- GPA of 3.0 (4.0 scale)
- SAT combined score of 1020 or higher (ACT composite score of 20)
- Full-time degree-seeking enrollment at University of Michigan-Dearborn
- Renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at UM-Dearborn
- English Proficiency score of IELTS (6.5), TOEFL (IBT-80, CBT-213, PBT-550), or MELAB (76).
Requirements for Transfers
- International student that holds a valid visa
- GPA of 3.5 (4.0 scale)
- Full-time degree-seeking enrollment at University of Michigan-Dearborn
- Renewable with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at UM-Dearborn
- English Proficiency score of IELTS (6.5), TOEFL (IBT-80, CBT-213, PBT-550), or MELAB (76).
Note: If you have earned less than 24 transferrable credits, you must also submit:
- SAT combined score of 1020 or higher (ACT composite score of 20)
- Official High School Transcripts
- English Proficiency score of IELTS (6.5), TOEFL (IBT-80, CBT-213, PBT-550), or MELAB (76).

The Fine Print
- SAT criteria are based on the new SAT total score for Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, and Math.
- GPA, at the time of admission, is used in determining scholarship eligibility.
- All scholarships are subject to review for renewal at the end of each academic year. All recipients must meet requirements of satisfactory academic progress and maintain a cumulative grade point average as articulated in their Terms and Conditions Form at the time of online scholarship acceptance.
