Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:

Duties
Basic Function of Position: Job holder conducts Surveillance Detection (SD) operations as a member of a tactical team of SD personnel. This includes daily operational supervision for a 3 member SD Unit (SDU). Job holder is accountable for operation SD equipment assigned to the SDU. Job holder directly reports to the SD Coordinator. The incumbent is responsible for conducting SD within an assigned area and conducts pre-shift briefings, distributes assigned equipment, places and coordinates the actions of the SD personnel at static and rotational assignments.
  

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of one (1) year of military, police, or private experience in the field of security is required. In addition to six (6) months of supervisory experience is required. 
JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Knowledge of surveillance techniques. Familiarity with local pedestrian and vehicular traffic patterns and habits, experience in the preparation of reports and schedules, awareness of cultural norms and customs is required. 
Education Requirements:

  • Completion of high school is required.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:  English level II (Limited Knowledge) in Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. Turkish level III (Good Working Knowledge) in Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. 
This may be tested. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must possess a driver's license. Ability to mange work of others in a team environment is required. Prepare oral and written reports, and operate communications SD equipment and cameras. Basic computer skills are required, to include keyboarding with accuracy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel. 
Please keep in mind that the mandatory retirement age for security guards is 57.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Embassy Branch Office in Gaziantep, Turkey may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
