Duties
Basic Function of Position:
Incumbent serves as the Management Front Office Administrative Assistant. Performs administrative duties to support the Management Front Office comprised of Management Counselor, Management Officer and Management Specialist. The duties of the Administrative Assistant for the Management Front Office are broad and require many interpersonal and organizational skills. 

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:  At least four years progressively responsible  experience in an administrative and/or customer focused work environment with strong background in clerical, general office procedure and routines is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:  Thorough knowledge of administrative and office procedures. Good working knowledge of management practices and an understanding of embassy organizational structure and embassy sections.
Education Requirements:

  • Two years university/college studies is required.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:  Level IV English and Turkish (Fluent) in Reading/Writing/Speaking. Must be able to translate documents from English to Turkish and vice versa. This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent drafting skills (English and Turkish), strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.  Must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and be able to juggle dozens of different, often time-sensitive tasks in a variety of specialized areas. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Power Point) required. Must be available to work on evenings, weekends, early mornings, U.S. and Turkish holidays, as needed.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Ankara, Turkey may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
